Description
Access off Mill Gate in Newark into Mill Lane. Over the bridge and park on the left next to the Dyke. Walk upstream over the long stone bridge and turn right by green fence into field. This section is not pegged due to natural runs and the associated weed beds. The stretch extends down to the next bridge, approx. 600 metres Being a weir pool and shallow for most of it’s length with the occasional deep pool, it provides good Barbel fishing. Fish well in to double figures are regularly caught. Good Chub are also caught along the stretch together with the occasional Carp.
