Morning all, after a thorough inspection of the LADY PITT stretch this morning I can announce it will be OPEN from Dawn tomorrow morning, 21st July.
Temperature is fine, oxygen levels are not an issue at this stretch most of the summer and the water level is back to normal level for a dry summer.
However if the weather conditions change again I will have no concerns about closing it.
One stipulation I am going to enforce is that no fish are removed from the water, weighed and photographed, fish to rested in the net, unhooked in the net and released when ready.
On a personal note I have been monitoring a mink trap and dispatching caught animals, please do not touch the trap or interfere with it in any way, if any anglers sight any mink whilst on the fishery could you report what you saw and where to the club so the message gets back to me so I can take the relevant action to eradicate.
I will not be changing the code to the gates until this evening just in case anyone is thinking of sneaking down prior
